MORPHOFUNCTIONAL STATE OF ERYTHROCYTE MEMBRANES IN PATIENTS WITH BRONCHIAL ASTHMA
The paper analyzes changes in form and deformability of peripheral blood erythrocytes in patients with moderate to severe bronchial asthma. With increasing severity of the disease the erythrocytes in peripheral blood are reducing in size, their deformability is increasing. The lipid peroxidation in the erythrocyte membranes and their microviscosity are enhancing.
