MODEL ANALYSIS OF AN OPTIMAL HARVEST EFFECT ON EVOLUTION OF POPULATION WITH TWO AGE CLASSES

It has been shown analytically that catch of fixed portion of number from single population age group is an optimal strategy, at that the dynamics of population number and genetic structure stabilizes. A nonselective harvest does not change the direction of natural selection; nevertheless adoptive genetic variety may be lost as a result of harvest.
